Challenge
Create a Web-based military construction project proposal writing system to be used by more than 10,000 users in accordance with DD Form 1391, which seeks to streamline the documentation and submittal of military construction project requirements and justification data for funding requests to Congress. Legacy system was extremely paper-intensive and sluggish.

Visual Concepts created the Navy's Electronic Project Procurement Generator (EPPG), a Web-based electronic military construction project proposal writing system. The system is one of many in an integrated suite of COTS and GOTS products built to support all business relating to the management of the US Navy and US Marine Corps. The system automatically calculates engineering costs and interfaces with other corporate solutions, including Maximo, Compas (Oracle HR) and FIS. EPPG employs electronic signatures for added efficiency. Currently, the EPPG system houses over 1,000 projects. Visual Concepts provided: database design, system analysis, system design and integration, business process reengineering, document imaging, legacy interface, data migration, Web design, data entry, data processing, data  warehousing, configuration management, and electronic data input.
