Quality Assurance Program

Our team philosophy embraces a culture of quality in all of our activities. We use LEAN and Six Sigma to continually improve our performance. We incorporate a mature CMMI® methodology into all of our processes to ensure that we use clearly defined, repeatable processes to develop high quality products.

Our quality approach incorporates several elements that keep our entire team focused on providing the highest quality products that exceed customer expectations. All new employees (including subcontractor employees) are required to take QA training as part of the new employee orientation process. These elements involve a formal quality assurance plan that details how we build quality into our daily activities. The QA Plan includes:

Process Quality:
  • Generate process audit checklists for standard processes
  • Periodically audit processes against checklist items
  • Generate Action Items in a tracking system for all reported defects and omissions
  • Create audit reports for Project Management
  • Track Action Items to completion in tracking system
  • Track and issue corrective actions, when necessary
  • Maintain and modify process audit checklists as required

Product Quality:
  • Tracking defects in tests
    - Monitor unit testing reports (if available)
    - Monitor integration test results: reported defects, corrections made, final status
    - Obtain reports on defects discovered in system testing
    - Independently verify that all reported defects are fixed in a deployable system

  • Auditing for Conformance with Requirements
    - Audit program functions against requirements in the Requirements Traceability Matrix
    - Report and track inconsistencies between the product and its requirements

  • Deployment Inspections
    - Create checklists/matrices of required deliverables for each project and deployment
    - Verify that all required deliverables are present
    - Proofread and correct all delivered documentation for errors in presentation
    - Inspect delivery media and verify that all are in specified formats

  • Creating Deployment Packages
    - Generate letter of acceptance by QA and sign
    - Assemble release/deployment packages: media, documentation, and incidental items
    - Generate letters of acceptance by Government and present with release/deployment    package for Government signature
    - Monitor reported defects for specified period to assure package is free from customer-   reported defects
    - Generate final report on deployment
    - Maintain all documentation for the release or deployment
    - Maintain statistics on defects and points in life cycle at which they were found
