Ventura, California-January 20, 2006-Visual Concepts, LLC earned selection by the US Naval Facilities Engineering Command Far East in Yokosuka, Japan for an $81,000, 9 month contract to provide database enhancements to its (GIS) Geographical Information System, a system used by 1,600 Navy and Department of Defense personnel in the delivery of naval facility management services in Japan.

Visual Concepts work includes Oracle database enhancements, new interfaces to other Command databases, developing reports, legacy data migration and scrubbing, and incorporating new functional requirements.

Visual Concepts was awarded this contract through its US General Services Administration Federal Technology Services 8(a) STARS (Streamlined Technology Acquisition Resources for Services) contract. The firm was selected for award based upon its longstanding history of outstanding service to the US Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
